Human Resources Director

The role

Recovery Resource Council is seeking a Human Resources Director to lead all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and compliance experience in a healthcare or nonprofit setting.

What you'll do

• Lead HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and policy administration
• Advise leadership on workforce planning, staffing, and employee engagement
• Manage employee investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans
• Maintain HR policies, employee records, job descriptions, and performance evaluation processes
• Oversee full-cycle recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts
• Coordinate employee orientation, training, and professional development programs

What it takes

• Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, employee relations, and benefits administration
• Leadership experience with a solid knowledge of payroll/HRIS, employee benefits, and strong interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field preferred
• Minimum three (3) years of HR management or leadership experience
• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, nonprofit, or other regulated environments preferred
