The role
Bilingual Educators will assist with the preparation and delivery of bilingual nutrition and cooking workshops at farmers markets, farmstands, and Health Centers from August to November 2026.
What you'll do
- Participate in a required, paid 5-day training in July 2026
- Collaborate with a team of three or more at each workshop site
- Prepare for and orally interpret in-person nutrition education workshops and cooking demonstrations
- Assist the Nutrition Educator with preparation and implementation of nutrition education sessions
- Actively participate in the marketing and promotion of programming
- Follow safety protocols and maintain environmentally sustainable practices
What it takes
- Oral fluency in English & Spanish
- Dynamic personality and excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communications skills
- Commitment to and strong interest in teamwork and effective communication practices
- Willing and able to stand for long periods of time and work outside, including in inclement weather conditions
- Willing and able to regularly lift and transport items weighing up to 25 pounds
- Experience interpreting information orally from English to Spanish (preferred)
