Independent Sector National Summit 2026

About the event

Independent Sector's in-person summit for nonprofit and foundation leaders, covering sector-wide policy, leadership and the health of civil society. A good place to meet executives and policy staff from national organizations, since there is no virtual option and everyone is in the room.

Who's hiring in the United States

1,380 open Leadership & Executive or Policy & Advocacy roles in the United States on ForGood. These organizations are hiring for the kind of work this event covers, so they are good people to look for there.

Make it count

• Look through the organizations hiring in your field before you go, and pick a handful you most want to meet.
• Go to sessions where those organizations are speaking, and ask a question. Speakers remember the people who ask.
• Follow up within two days of meeting someone. A short note that mentions what you talked about is enough.
• Many events have discounted or volunteer places for students and people between jobs. Check the official site.
