The role
The role involves leading the global sectoral strategy for Education in Risk of Explosive Ordnance (EORE) and contributing to the development and implementation of the global EORE sub-strategy, as well as supporting the operational strategy for HI programs where there is no regional or national EORE technical specialist.
What you'll do
- Lead the global sectoral strategy for EORE
- Develop and implement the global EORE sub-strategy

- Develop and contextualize technical guidelines and tools related to EORE
- Provide technical support to project portfolios in development, emergency, and protracted crisis contexts
- Represent HI’s technical expertise in relevant networks and contribute to the development of EORE standards, frameworks, and approaches
What it takes
- Master's degree in conflict/security, international development, international relations or relevant field
- Strong expertise in EORE and community engagement, QA/QC, capacity building, and technical assistance
- Experience in reducing armed violence and basic knowledge of other RVA pillars such as land release, armed violence, and conflict transformation
- Experience in writing successful proposals for a wide range of institutions requiring technical and operational details
- Ability to network and build operational partnerships
- Fluency in English, proficiency in Spanish, Arabic, or Portuguese is an asset
