The role
The Senior QA Tester will take ownership of Quality Assurance (QA) within Christian Aid’s core Digital Team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and user-friendly websites that are consistent and coherent.
What you'll do
- Identify, manage and mitigate risks related to both digital and CRM projects ensuring high quality work that is impactful.
- Collaborate with the Digital Product Owner and CRM Technical Lead to verify that all designs and technical outputs meet quality standards and align with project goals and wider organisational values and goals.
- Collaborate with the Digital Optimisation Analyst and CRM Technical Lead to ensure all test results are properly tracked, analysed, and shared to support continuous learning, feedback and optimisation.
- Design, write and execute visual regression and behaviour-driven testing for every code release, identifying and reporting any issues to the development teams to support a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Report and track defects: Log defects, provide clear information for developers to fix them, and retest to verify the issues are resolved.
- Manage continuous improvement and optimise testing processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, consistency and coherency.
What it takes
- Higher education or equivalent experience obtained in a relevant subject area
- Substantial experience working with content management systems (CMS), particularly Drupal
- Developed ability in application of usability, accessibility and security standards
- Understanding of cross browser limitations and work arounds
- Understanding of optimisation techniques (both in file weight and perceived/actual rendering speed) and performance measurement
- Developed ability to interpret complex communications briefs from others
