The role

The ACLU seeks applicants for the full-time position of Senior Human Resources Associate in the Human Resources department of the ACLU’s National office in New York, NY. This is a hybrid role that has in-office requirements of two (2) days per week or eight (8) days per month.

What you'll do

  • Maintain human resources policies and employee handbook content
  • Monitor changes in employment law and assess their impact on HR policies, practices and procedures
  • Support HR Business Partners assessing department relevel and new position requests
  • Conduct audits on employee data in HRIS and other related systems
  • Support with employment verification requests
  • Manage the probationary review process

  • Demonstrated professional experience in human resources
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Experience in job analysis and classification, FLSA determinations, policy administration, regulatory reporting, compliance audits, records management, or HRIS data integrity
