The role
Responsible for maintaining the physical condition, appearance, and operational efficiency of the property, ensuring a safe and attractive living environment for residents. Performs maintenance repairs, general upkeep tasks, and contributes to marketing efforts.
What you'll do
- Perform routine, preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance repairs
- Maintain appropriate logs and records
- Contribute to marketing efforts and resident satisfaction
- Participate in apartment turnovers
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of the community and grounds
- Provide guidance and training to Maintenance Apprentices & Porters
What it takes
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Basic skill in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, equipment repair, and painting
- EPA Section 608 Technician Certification- Type II or Universal Certification
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in the use of hand and power tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read policies and procedures, safety notices, general business correspondence and documentation
