The role

To provide mid-to-senior technical expertise in hydrology, surface water assessment, water resources analysis, hydrological modelling, hydroinformatics, integrated water resources management (IWRM), water resilience, desalination-linked planning, water reuse, and sustainable water resource management to support evidence-based planning and climate-resilient water systems.

What you'll do

  • Conduct hydrological assessments, watershed studies, river basin analysis, and surface water availability assessments
  • Support assessment of surface water-groundwater interactions
  • Develop, review, or support hydrological models using relevant tools and methodologies
  • Support technical assessments related to non-conventional water resources
  • Provide technical inputs into IWRM frameworks and SDG6-related planning
  • Prepare technical reports, maps, data summaries, and advisory briefs

What it takes

  • University degree in Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydroinformatics, Water Resources Management, Geography, or a related field
  • 5-20 years of progressively responsible experience in hydrology, surface water analysis, water resources management, hydrological modelling, hydroinformatics, or related technical disciplines
  • Experience with surface water modelling, IWRM, SDG6, GIS, hydroinformatics, or water data systems
