The role
The Field Monitoring Engineer will monitor construction-related activities and other humanitarian interventions, in line with approved monitoring plans.
What you'll do
- Verify that construction and rehabilitation works meet Ukrainian codes, relevant international standards, project standards, and donor requirements
- Review project technical documentation for monitoring purposes
- Conduct site visits construction related activities to assess progress and technical quality
- Conduct basic quality checks on completed questionnaires prior to submission
- Comply with Staff Standards of Conduct, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), and accountability principles
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Environmental Engineering, WASH Engineering, Architecture, or related fields
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience
- Ability to use monitoring tools, Kobo/ODK, GIS, and technical measurement methods
- Prior experience with data collection, assessments, or monitoring activities with NGOs, UN agencies, or local authorities
- Familiarity with mobile data collection tools (e.g. Kobo Toolbox)
