Facilities Maintenance Technician

The role

Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment, including painting, plumbing, and electrical work. This role involves routine inspections and documentation of repairs, as well as support for volunteers.

What you'll do

• Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities
• Patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings
• Repair or replace concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks
• Paint structures and equipment as needed
• Install and correct minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and structural problems
• Drive vehicle to other locations

What it takes

• High School or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required
• Skills and knowledge of painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work is required
• Exemplary interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
• A current valid driver’s license and good driving record is required
• Previous truck and/or bus driving experience is desirable
