Externally-Funded Fellowship - National Prison Project
The role
The ACLU’s National Prison Project (NPP) is seeking rising third-year law students and recent graduates to apply for an externally-funded fellowship beginning in the fall of 2027. The Fellow will engage in litigation and advocacy to challenge carceral conditions, focusing on issues such as mental health care in prisons and the use of private transport for incarcerated individuals. This role provides an opportunity to develop project proposals that combine legal research, trial practice, and community engagement to advance civil liberties.
