The role

Responsible for the installation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment, including lighting, power, HVAC motors, and other duties as assigned.

What you'll do

  • Installation and maintenance of switches, breakers, panels, receptacles, lighting fixtures, dimmer system, and other electrical apparatus
  • Troubleshoot electrical shorts, motors, and motor controls
  • Pipe bending and installing EMT, conduit, wire mold, and BX
  • Maintain and clean electrical rooms, service rooms, and shop
  • Other related duties

What it takes

  • Knowledge of and experience with hand and power tools
  • Basic knowledge of national and New York City electrical codes
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience with a licensed electrical contractor
  • Ability to work safely on ladders and scissor lifts
  • Experience with pipe bending and installing EMT, conduit, wire mold, and BX
  • Maintenance and cleaning of electrical rooms, service rooms, and shop
