The role
Responsible for the installation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment, including lighting, power, HVAC motors, and other duties as assigned.
What you'll do
- Installation and maintenance of switches, breakers, panels, receptacles, lighting fixtures, dimmer system, and other electrical apparatus
- Troubleshoot electrical shorts, motors, and motor controls
- Pipe bending and installing EMT, conduit, wire mold, and BX
- Maintain and clean electrical rooms, service rooms, and shop
- Other related duties
What it takes
- Knowledge of and experience with hand and power tools
- Basic knowledge of national and New York City electrical codes
- Minimum 3 years of work experience with a licensed electrical contractor
- Ability to work safely on ladders and scissor lifts
- Experience with pipe bending and installing EMT, conduit, wire mold, and BX
- Maintenance and cleaning of electrical rooms, service rooms, and shop
