The role

The Development Coordination Officer, Partnerships position is responsible for providing substantive support for strategic planning and coordination of UNCT strategic partnerships with civil society, the private sector, and other SDG achievement. The role involves developing partnership strategies, managing resource mobilization initiatives, and promoting knowledge management.

What you'll do

  • Provide advice on the development and implementation of UN Partnership Strategy
  • Support the Resident Coordinator (RC) and UNCT in identifying risks and opportunities related to specific partnerships
  • Contribute to advocacy, communications, and dialogues with partners to improve development assistance policies and practice
  • Work closely with RCO Economist and other UN finance experts on SDG financing

What it takes

  • Advanced university degree (Master’s) in business or public administration, sustainable development, social sciences, education or related area
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in strategic support to partnerships, project/programme management, resource mobilization
  • Experience in designing and implementing developing strategic partnerships and resource mobilization strategies across government, private sector, and civil society organizations
  • Experience in inclusion strategies that promote gender equality, youth participation, and disability inclusion is desirable
