The role

The Deputy Chief Information Officer at NCIA will play a crucial role in ensuring NATO's digital enterprise is secure and capable of supporting evolving mission requirements. This leadership position involves overseeing cyber security, enterprise technology strategies, and the integration of various technology platforms. The role requires collaboration across multiple functions to drive modernization and optimize processes.

What you'll do

  • Lead with the customer at the center of every decision
  • Build and lead a cohesive, multicultural and multidisciplinary team
  • Serve as the CIO's deputy and represent the CIO in governance bodies
  • Provide executive leadership for the Agency's cyber security, cyber defense, cyber resilience and cyber risk management capabilities
  • Lead the implementation of enterprise technology strategies aligned with NATO policy, Agency priorities and the NCIA Strategic Plan
  • Oversee enterprise platforms across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments

What it takes

  • 10 years of experience with a Master's degree or 15 years with a Bachelor's degree
  • Proven senior IT leadership experience in large organizations
  • Experience in developing enterprise-wide technology strategies
  • Track record of delivering large-scale technology transformation programs
  • Experience in enterprise IT operations and cyber security
  • Knowledge of security methodologies like MITRE ATT&CK and Zero Trust
