The role

The OECD is seeking a Data and Knowledge Scientist to contribute to the development and maintenance of data pipelines, data visualization, and well-being policy analysis.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop and maintain automated data pipelines for the OECD How’s Life? well-being database
  • Manage regular data updates for the How’s Life? database and the Better Life Index
  • Create compelling data visualizations for policy impact
  • Engage with relevant communities of practice within the OECD’s data science network
  • Provide training and technical guidance to the WISE team on best practices in data science

What it takes

  • An advanced university degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field with a strong quantitative focus
  • At least four years of relevant experience on applied policy research and/or data science
  • Experience conducting econometric analysis and working with microdata
  • Proven track record in developing and maintaining scalable data infrastructure and automated workflows
  • Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and a knowledge of, or a willingness to learn, the other
