The role
IDB Group is seeking a Senior Digital Development Consultant with extensive expertise in Brazil's telecommunications sector to support its agenda for meaningful connectivity and digital inclusion.
What you'll do
- Support the preparation, execution, and supervision of operations and technical cooperation related to connectivity expansion, modernization of broadcasting, and implementation of critical digital infrastructure.
- Develop technical, economic, regulatory, and financial analyses on telecommunications networks, digital broadcasting, spectrum, shared infrastructure, data centers, and sectoral financing models.
- Prepare studies, technical notes, presentations, reports, Terms of Reference, and other knowledge products related to the scope of work.
- Engage in dialogue with governments, regulators, broadcasters, telecommunications operators, and other digital infrastructure stakeholders, financial institutions, external partners, and other sector stakeholders.
- Monitor consultants, review technical products, and contribute to the identification and structuring of new operations and initiatives in connectivity, broadcasting, and digital infrastructure.
What it takes
- Master's degree in engineering, economics, or relevant fields (PhD preferred)
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in the telecommunications sector in Brazil
- Experience in advisory or management roles
- Fluency in English and Portuguese
- Legal right to work in the job location
- No family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at BID, BID Invest, or BID Lab
