The role
The Consultant will support the organization of briefing and training sessions on human rights mainstreaming, lead the coordination and update of UNODC Knowledge Portal on Human Rights, draft various written outputs, conduct technical research, and collect and analyze data to identify trends and patterns.

- Support the organization of briefing and training sessions on human rights mainstreaming and HRDDP for UNODC staff in field offices and HQ
- Lead the coordination and update of UNODC Knowledge Portal on Human Rights
- Draft a variety of written outputs, such as internal policy documents, working papers, sections of SG reports, periodic progress reports etc.
- Undertake technical research and mapping exercises to identify existing tools and resources within the UN system that support mainstreaming human rights
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends and patterns
What it takes
- An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in law, criminology, international relations, political and social sciences, economics, development studies, human rights, gender studies or a related area is required
- At least two years of work experience at the international or national levels on issues related to peace, justice, sustainable development, human rights and rule of law is required
- Experience in working with the United Nations is required
