The role
The Communications Officer position is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating communications strategies to promote the protection of children affected by armed conflict.
What you'll do
- Develop an advocacy and communications strategy for the Office in collaboration with UN/DGC.
- Contribute to implementation of the strategy and monitor its impact.
- Produce and edit content for the Special Representative's website.

- Plan and manage the use of office communications budget.

- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in communications, public relations, or related area is required.

- Experience in the translation of complex political or conflict-related subject matters into public communications is required.
- Experience with web-based communication technology and new media strategies is desirable.
