The role
The International Potato Center (CIP) and the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB) are inviting consultancy firms to submit technical and financial proposals for Architectural and Engineering Consultancy Services to establish the new Centre of Excellence for Crop Biotechnology (COECB) at RAB’s Headquarters in Rwanda.
What you'll do
- Undertaking site assessments and data collection
- Preparing architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, ICT, and laboratory engineering designs
- Developing detailed technical drawings and specifications
- Preparing Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and cost estimates
- Ensuring compliance with applicable national regulations, international laboratory standards, biosafety requirements, and project specifications
- Supporting the procurement process by responding to technical clarifications and participating in the evaluation of construction bids
What it takes
- Proven experience in the design and supervision of research laboratories, biotechnology laboratories, scientific facilities, or similar specialized infrastructure
- Availability of qualified multidisciplinary professionals, including architects, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, laboratory planning, quantity surveying, and environmental specialists
- Experience in delivering similar assignments for international organizations, governments, research institutions, universities, or donor-funded projects
- Financial and technical capacity to undertake the assignment
