The role

The Ammunition Technical Specialist will provide technical support to HALO Central America operations, including planning and delivering Weapons and Ammunition Management (WAM) activities, conducting risk assessments, and supporting security forces with mentoring and technical assistance.

What you'll do

  • Plan and carry out risk assessments of armouries and explosives storage facilities
  • Support the Central American security forces with mentoring and technical assistance
  • Ensure compliance with national and international technical standards
  • Support the development of annual work plans and the allocation of tasks
  • Coordinate the content of the ammunition management training course programme
  • Support the review of existing national policies, procedures and practices
