The role
JCC Greater Boston is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Unit Heads to lead and mentor staff and ensure a safe, inclusive, and joyful camp experience for children. This is a seasonal, full-time, exempt position with a daily schedule of 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday, for a nine-week period from June 21 - August 20, including one week of staff training.

- Mentor counselors and support positive group dynamics
- Ensure the safety and well-being of campers during activities
- Create a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment
- Work in partnership with counselors and camp leadership
- Supervise a team of approximately 20 Counselors and seasonal camp staff
- Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate staff

- High school degree required
- 1+ season of teaching or program planning experience for children
- College degree, concentration, or equivalent experience in Education or similar field preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Ability to plan and lead age-appropriate, engaging, and inclusive activities
- Excellent group management skills
