The role
Anthropic is seeking a Tax Director to manage the company's global income tax provision and US income tax compliance function, including complex M&A and infrastructure transactions.
What you'll do
- Own the quarterly and annual worldwide income tax provision
- Manage the US federal and state income tax compliance program
- Own tax journal entries, account reconciliations, and income tax footnote and disclosures
- Coordinate international components of the provision with the team and outside advisors
- Drive automation and tax technology adoption
- Mentor and develop tax team members
What it takes
- Substantial experience managing a corporate tax function in the multinational software and technology industry
- Experience with complex M&A transactions and infrastructure leases
- Experience with ASC 740 provision and compliance processes
- Experience with US federal and state income tax compliance
- CPA certification; a Master's in Taxation or LLM is a plus
