The role
The YMCA of Twin Lakes in Cedar Park is seeking a Swim Coach to instruct, direct and coordinate youth swim programs, including Shark Academy swim team prep course, Tiger Shark Swim Team, and other stroke development classes and clinics.
What you'll do
- Ensure YMCA policies, program standards and safety procedures are followed
- Observe, evaluate and provide feedback and direction to participants
- Create, organize and instruct group skill building classes
- Maintain proper records and equipment
- Model relationship building skills in all interactions
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents and staff
What it takes
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Associates degree preferred
- Lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certification
- Minimum 1 year coaching experience, assistant teaching, or YSL stroke mechanics
- Intermediate swimming ability
