The role
FHI 360 is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to support the EpiC Global Health Security (GHS) workplan in the Philippines. The role involves strengthening national and subnational supply chain systems for public health emergency preparedness, outbreak response, and laboratory readiness. The specialist will focus on ensuring the availability and distribution of essential medical and diagnostic supplies.
What you'll do
- Assess and document existing SCM systems at DOH and partner facilities
- Design and implement interventions for inventory management, warehousing, and distribution
- Establish and operationalize Emergency Readiness Reserves (ERRs)
- Provide technical leadership for medical, laboratory, and diagnostic commodity security
- Coordinate with DOH units and stakeholders to ensure supply chain reliability
- Analyze SCM-related data and prepare reports for project leadership and donors
What it takes
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Public Health, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience with NGOs or INGOs in supply chain management
- Strong understanding of SCM processes within DOH and public/private sectors
- Knowledge of health programs, public health, and international development
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience working with country programs funded by the US government
