The role
The Specialist will develop programming that expands Habitat's work with housing market systems in the Philippines, working with market actors, government, low income home owners, external consultants and the regional and global TCIS team.
What you'll do
- Supports the housing market systems work using a market systems development approach
- Provides portfolio, program and project management
- Supports monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL)
- Liaises with potential partners
- Provides technical inputs on various products and services in the housing markets
- Represents the work of the Lab in industry gatherings and conferences
What it takes
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering, Architecture or related field
- 5 Years Relevant Experience in business, social entrepreneurship, international development, housing, media, finance or similar field
- Competencies/Capabilities: Entrepreneurial, Agile, Strong inter-personal skills, Quality and results oriented, Communication and presentation skills in English, Technical Competencies: Experience in monitoring and evaluating projects
- Experience with value chain programs and/or other market-based development approaches
- Exposure to construction and affordable housing
- Experience is green building construction, resilient construction or building certifications for climate and resilience adaptation
