The role
HousingPlus is hiring a Part-Time Social Worker to provide and coordinate clinical and supportive services to women residing in their Permanent Supportive Housing Programs.
What you'll do
- Carry a caseload of clients who require a higher level of service and support
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and consult on intakes and assessments as needed
- Provide individual counseling and clinical support as appropriate
- Provide emergency and crisis intervention
- Connect tenants with mental health and other community-based services
- Develop and facilitate group sessions, support groups, and special supportive projects
What it takes
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with populations with SMI, SUD, homelessness, reentry, or related challenges
- Excellent organizational, communication, and active listening skills
- Ability to establish and maintain respectful and supportive relationships with tenants
- Ability to identify individual strengths and provide strengths-based support
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Minimum of an LMSW, LMHC, or other Master's level mental health professional credential appropriate to the responsibilities of the position
