The role
The Humanitarian Services Product Management team at American Red Cross seeks a Service Designer to apply design thinking approaches and collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate discovery of problems and opportunities in digital experiences and business processes.
What you'll do
- Collaborating with technology, product, and business teams to uncover customer and business needs
- Facilitating discovery sprints and workshops for early-stage product definition
- Creating visual storytelling artifacts of business and technology concepts
- Partnering with clients to develop a strategic plan for their technology vision
- Auditing existing digital experiences and blueprinting new ones
What it takes
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in at least 3 areas: agile product development, design sprints, UX/UI design, business process redesign, user story development, requirements analysis, product analytics
- Intermediate business acumen with the ability to align IT priorities with business objectives
- Clear and effective writing, documentation, and business facilitation/presentation skills
