The role
The incumbent of this post reports to the Finance Officer - General Accounts, A16, and is responsible for handling transactions related to the Parallel Education Programme (PEP) and ensuring compliance with financial processes and records.
What you'll do
- Follows up and acts on transactions and activities related to the Parallel Education Programme (PEP) and the alignment with Programme Budget (PB) or any other Projects or initiatives, as instructed by his/her supervisor, and ensures they are in line with set work plans, instructions, and guidance.
- Performs all accounting transactions as requested by the supervisor, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, fees, and reconciliations between ERP system (REACH) and the Student Registration System (SRS).
- Maintains all records related to the Parallel Education Programme (PEP), categorizes based on general and subsidiary ledgers; drafts required documents and correspondence related to his/her functions.
- Assists the supervisor in preparing monthly/quarterly review of Parallel Education Programme (PEP) ledgers; coordinates with stakeholders' departments as requested.
- Acts as a focal point for the Parallel Education Programme (PEP) within JFO's financial system and reporting.
- Conducts transactions related to the (PEP) accounting in UNRWA's financial system and coordinates as needed with TVET & FESA.

- First university degree from an accredited educational institution in accountancy or finance
- At least two years’ experience in accounting or finance work, involving working experience with computerized finance systems
- Experience and professional knowledge in the usage of computer applications such as Excel and Access
