The ACLU is seeking a Senior Advisor for Affiliate Strategic Planning to strengthen the organizational capacity and strategic alignment of its nationwide network of state affiliates. The position also serves as a critical bridge between national priorities and affiliate autonomy, ensuring consistent, high-quality strategic planning across the organization.

What you'll do

  • Provide direct advising and facilitation to affiliates undertaking strategic planning processes.
  • Develop tools, resources, and systems to support consistent strategic planning across the enterprise.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to affiliate leadership regarding governance, financial sustainability, and risk management.
  • Translate emerging trends from affiliate plans into insights for national and departmental strategy.
  • Oversee and resource a pool of external consultants to support affiliate planning engagements.
