The role
The Sector Project Officer - Education and Life Skills supports the Programme Manager to plan, implement, monitor and report LEARN IPF activities across assigned project locations. The role coordinates quality delivery of foundational literacy, numeracy, life skills, child participation and safe, inclusive learning interventions with schools, communities, faith actors and government partners.
What you'll do
- Support needs assessments and context analysis to identify education priorities.
- Coordinate day-to-day implementation of approved activities within budget and timeframe.
- Strengthen partner capacity through training and coaching.
- Ensure child protection and safeguarding are integrated into all activities.
- Build the capacity of staff, teachers, volunteers, community leaders, faith actors, and partners.
- Support design, monitoring, evaluation, accountability, learnings & reflection, and knowledge management.
What it takes
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Community Development or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience implementing or coordinating education projects.
- Experience in project planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and partner coordination.
- Practical experience supporting literacy, numeracy, adolescent/youth platforms, teacher coaching, community mobilisation or NGO programming.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Ability to communicate in local languages relevant to assigned project locations is an advantage.
