The role
The Safeguarding Associate Field Manager ensures that GiveDirectly’s activities are planned and delivered in ways that prevent abuse and support appropriate and timely responses to safeguarding concerns.
What you'll do
- Conduct safeguarding risk assessments
- Support responses to safeguarding concerns
- Establish a network of safeguarding focal points
- Maintain signposting and referral pathways
- Deliver ongoing training and sensitization sessions
- Represent safeguarding needs in field operations
What it takes
- 1-2 years experience in safeguarding, protection, community development, social work, maternal health, or related operational roles
- Strong judgement and the ability to take timely action
- Confidence in identifying risks and supporting staff
- Understanding of survivor centred practice
- Strong communication, facilitation, and documentation skills
- Professional fluency in English and Swahili (Dholuo essential)
