The role

The Research Manager will oversee the Humanitarian Needs Monitoring Unit in Ukraine, managing research cycles, staff, and external engagement to ensure high-quality data and analysis for humanitarian response.

What you'll do

  • Provide line management, oversight, and capacity building to senior members of the HNMU
  • Represent IMPACT/REACH in cluster and multi-sector meetings/technical working groups in country
  • Ensure that research cycles in the HNMU are implemented to a high standard
  • Oversee knowledge management processes to ensure lessons are documented and implemented
  • Facilitate conditions for producing high quality outputs within the HNMU
  • Provide strategic leadership for the HNMU, with the support of the DCR

What it takes

  • 5 years of relevant working experience in a humanitarian setting
  • Familiarity with the aid system and the research community
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills for effective reporting
  • Experience in assessments, M&E, field research, or evaluations
  • Proven knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in English, competency in Ukrainian or Russian is an asset
