What you'll do
- Follows human rights developments in the region and advises Regional Director
- Develops strategic relationships with UN Country Teams and provides support as required
- Manages OHCHR Multi-Country Office, including supervision of staff
- Represents OHCHR on human rights matters at national, regional, and international levels
- Designs and implements policies to address regional human rights issues
What it takes
- Advanced university degree in law, human rights, political science, or related field
- At least ten years of progressively responsible experience in the human rights field
- Experience managing teams and supervising staff
- Experience working with UN Country Teams or comparable international organizations
- Fluency in English; Russian is desirable
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment
