The role
The Protection Program Coordinator will lead the implementation of the protection program strategy to ensure IYD's intervention is timely, effective and relevant to the range of needs.
What you'll do
- Overall supervision and successful implementation of the protection program
- Work in strict coordination with other program colleagues
- Lead the protection program and implementation under the overall guidance of the CEO
- Provide needed support to ensure that the technical support is streamlined to the service delivery
- Represent IYD at relevant stakeholder or coordination meetings
- Ensure meaningful coordination between the protection team and the technical advisor
What it takes
- BA degree or equivalent years of experience in political science, social sciences, psychological or related field
- Minimum of five years of professional experience leading, managing, and implementing emergency response programs in protection programming in a conflict setting
- Good experience in the implementation of GBV response and risk mitigation activities, women empowerment, PSS, and Child Protection
- Fluent English and Arabic speaking, writing, and comprehension skills are required
- Strong budgeting and budget monitoring skills, including a high level of proficiency with MS Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and strategic planning skills are required
