The role
The Protection Capacity Building & Safeguarding Officer will strengthen the technical capacity of World Vision's protection staff and its partners, and safeguard the quality of child protection and psychosocial support activities in Aleppo, Syria.
What you'll do
- Deliver training sessions for protection staff, teachers, and education personnel
- Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring
- Develop and administer pre- and post-training tests
- Ensure safeguarding policies and CFRM are applied consistently
- Monitor partners' interventions in World Vision-supported schools
- Support the identification and reporting of safeguarding concerns
What it takes
- Minimum three years of experience in humanitarian protection programming
- Proven experience in training design, facilitation, and mentoring
- Experience in monitoring safeguarding practices
- A university degree or diploma in social sciences, psychology, sociology, business administration, public administration, or any other relevant field
- Fluency in Arabic and good command of English
- Good report writing skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills
