The role
The Programme Management Officer (Evaluation) will lead the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programmes in an assigned functional area within OCHA's Evaluation and Oversight Unit.
What you'll do
- Develops, implements, and evaluates assigned programmes/projects
- Monitors and analyzes programme/project development and implementation
- Formulates and reviews relevant documents and reports
- Liaises with relevant parties to ensure follow-up actions
- Researches, analyzes and presents information for the development of OCHA evaluation standards
- Coordinates policy development
What it takes
- Advanced university degree in business administration, management, economics or a related field is required
- A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration, or related area is required
- Experience in independent programme evaluation, including evaluation design, implementation, or management, is required
- Experience managing inter-agency evaluations and reviews is desirable
- Experience in the management or evaluation of humanitarian financing programmes is desirable
- At least three (3) years in the past seven (7) years of international field experience in aid operations is desirable
