Program Development Manager

The role

The Program Development Manager role will support initiatives focused on emerging renewable energy solutions as part of the sustainable energy transition in India. This role involves technical innovation, stakeholder engagement, and policy advocacy, driving impactful solutions that empower communities and promote clean energy access.

What you'll do

• Understand the rural livelihood sector and identify areas which need intervention
• Scope the market to quantify the level of opportunity and size of opportunity
• Develop sustainable and commercially viable business models for all stakeholders
• Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and performance tracking
• Work closely with the program and impact team to estimate on-ground social impacts
• Identification of partnerships required for efficient implementation

What it takes

• Degree or post graduate qualifications; engineering, renewable energy or a related field preferable
• At least 8 years’ experience in the design and implementation of programs
• Experience of renewable energy systems is an added benefit
• Good network in the energy or developmental sectors
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good understanding of the India rural market and livelihood landscape at state and national level
