The role
Compass Health Center is seeking a Patient Advocate to act as a liaison between patients and clinical staff to communicate or resolve incoming inquiries regarding finances, HIPAA, and information as needed. This role will be 100% onsite at the Falls Church location and will consist of 10 weeks of training prior to launching for patients.
What you'll do
- Reviews the accuracy of demographics, insurance, completion of forms, organizational data to be entered in the chart in a timely manner.
- Conduct New Patient Orientation/Administrative Intake for accurate intake paperwork collection. Functions as a service regarding insurance and other administrative procedures.
- Point of contact for billing information for Urinary Drug Screening (UDS) coordination and Genetic Testing coordination. Obtains approval to move forward with services.
- Follows up with financially responsible party who is not present at intake to review program cost and collects necessary documents for patient to start recommended program.
- Follows up with patient’s parents if joint medical decision-making consent is needed and obtains necessary documents for patient to start recommended program.
- Primary contact for weekend and after-hours patient web inquiries.
