Maintenance Technician

The role

The American Red Cross is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment. This role involves carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, and welding tasks.

What you'll do

• Maintain and repair organization's facilities and properties
• Patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings
• Repair or replace concrete floors, steps and sidewalks
• Install and correct minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and structural problems
• Drive vehicle to other locations
• Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures

What it takes

• High School or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required
• Skills and knowledge of painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work is required
• A current valid driver’s license and good driving record is required
• Exemplary interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to work on a team
