The Human Rights Officer will provide extensive legal research and analysis on issues related to transitional justice and accountability, support leadership and advocacy by the High Commissioner on these matters, and advise field presences on draft legislation, policies, and practices.

What it takes
- Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in law, political science, international relations, social sciences or related field
- A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in human rights, political affairs, international relations, law or related area
- Experience in the field of international human rights law is required
- Experience in the development of policies, tools and guidelines related to human rights and transitional justice is required
- Experience in legal drafting is desirable
