The role
The Head of Mission is responsible for the overall coordination of CESVI's operations in Somalia and Kenya, including staff, logistics, budget, security, and donor relations.
What you'll do
- Overall supervision of country programs and procedures
- Supervising projects and supporting staff to reach objectives
- Managing human resources, including expatriate staff
- Ensuring compliance with local regulations and labor laws
- Leading the definition and development of the country strategy
- Representing CESVI in coordination with local and international partners
What it takes
- University degree or post graduate degree in International Development/Humanitarian sector and/or Psychology/Social Sciences
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in NGO humanitarian crisis management
- Minimum 2 years of experience as Head of Mission
- Prior experience in Kenya/Somalia or East Africa
- Extensive experience of working within a senior management role within a complex country programme
- Experience of managing multi-donor and multi-site programs
