The role
The Grants Financial Manager will support Senior Management with financial analysis and data to support timely and effective decision making. They will collaborate closely with the Global Support Office Finance Partner, Field Finance Manager and Senior Management in DR Congo to ensure sound financial management of grants, effective cost coverage, and accurate spend forecasting.
What you'll do
- Establish/ maintain appropriate systems and procedures to ensure compliance with donor contracts.
- Maintain an overview of all ongoing grants and ensure costs are allocated accurately and appropriately.
- Work with the Finance Partner to ensure regular updates to cost coverage calculations.
- Support country leadership in financial analyses.
- Support teams with budgeting and spend forecasting.
- Monitor grant spending on a monthly basis.
What it takes
- Financial diploma or equivalent in business administration and/or accounting/book-keeping
- 3-5 years minimum experience post qualification
- Proficiency in French language, written and spoken
- Proficiency in using Excel spreadsheets
- Overseas experience in relief work with an NGO, ideally in finance or grant management
- Strong servant leadership skills; able to coach and support other staff members
