The role

The Gaza Coordinator position involves managing and coordinating the operations of the UN2720 Mechanism for Gaza, ensuring efficient aid verification, delivery, and stakeholder coordination within a respective Area of Responsibility.

What you'll do

• Manages and coordinates the operations of the 2720 Mechanism within the Area of Responsibility
• Coordinates the processing of humanitarian aid notifications
• Supervises and manages the daily workflow of Monitors
• Provides oversight and direction on procedures relating to the document review process
• Acts as the focal point for relevant entities
• Coordinates activities of the 2720 Mechanism with UN agencies and other humanitarian organizations

What it takes

• Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Law, Business or related fields with 9 years of relevant experience
• Master’s degree in any of the above or related fields with 7 years of relevant experience
• 9 years or less of relevant experience in humanitarian coordination, humanitarian programs or a related field
• At least two years of the total experience in the management of teams in an international context
• Previous experience in a post-conflict or multi-cultural environment
• Previous experience in liaising with Member States and donors
