The role
DROSOS FOUNDATION is seeking a freelance Finance Consultant to improve the financial management capacity of its partner organizations in Jordan, focusing on accounting, financial reporting, and capacity building.
What you'll do
- Assist in the preparation phase of the partner’s contracting phase by analysing their financial and administrative capacities
- Review quarterly or semi-annual financial reports and supporting documentation submitted by partners
- Support partners in setting up internal control tools to facilitate their work
- Play an active role in training and mentoring grant finance staff
- Exchange regularly with, and report to, DROSOS FOUNDATION on assignment progress, findings and recommendations
What it takes
- Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field
- At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in financial management, grant/partnership management or non-profit accounting management
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, budget/cash flow monitoring and internal control rules and regulations
- Fluency in Arabic and English
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- Readiness to travel to partner organization offices all over Jordan
