The role
PATH is seeking a Finance Officer to support financial management and compliance, human resource management, operations, and logistics for the REACH Malaria project in Bujumbura, Burundi.
What you'll do
- Monitor budgets and keep project management updated about spending against project budgets
- Ensure compliance with all USAID and PATH policies, practices, and regulations
- Analyze project expenses, including partner financial reports, on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Support procurement of in-country commodities and other project equipment
- Support the Finance and Admin Manager during internal and external audits
- Support property and asset management including IT, equipment, transportation, and insurance
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or business-related field
- Minimum of five years in an administrative and financial management position in an international organization
- Experience in developing, monitoring, and reporting on complex budgets
- Thorough knowledge of applicable USAID rules and regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including word and excel
- Experience in managing project funds, financial reporting and data analysis, auditing
