The role
World Vision International Lao PDR is seeking a Finance Officer for the BASIN projects, focusing on enhancing economic resilience through climate-smart agricultural practices and developing inclusive markets.
What you'll do
- Ensure smooth functioning of day-to-day finance and accounting operations
- Prepare journal vouchers, allocate prepaid accounts, and update tools
- Review cash advance and settlement for all T-codes
- Coordinate with National Finance team to ensure timely payment to suppliers
- Contribute to continuous improvements in financial processes and policies
What it takes
- 2-3 years of work experience in Finance & Accounting
- Experience in INGO project budgeting and grant financial management
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance. Master’s degree preferred
- Computer literate in Accounting Software, Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes or similar database, email and Internet programs
- Advance skills with Spreadsheet Analysis, Sun System Accounting Package, Q&A Reporting
- Strong knowledge on GAAP and Familiarity with general accounting principles
