The role

Cypress Creek Energy is seeking an Environmental Compliance professional to manage stormwater and stabilization permits for its utility-scale solar and storage projects. This role involves developing permit tracking processes, conducting fleet-wide compliance reviews, and serving as a subject matter expert for the Asset Management division. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams and regulatory agencies to mitigate environmental risk across a large portfolio of operating assets. The position requires a focus on operational efficiency and regulatory rigor within a dynamic, mission-driven team.

What you'll do

  • Manage environmental compliance for a large portfolio of stormwater and stabilization permits.
  • Develop and maintain an asset management environmental compliance and permit tracking system.
  • Conduct a comprehensive fleet-wide permit inventory review within the first 60 days.
  • Engage with internal teams and regulatory agencies to strategize on permitting requirements.
  • Provide expert input to senior leadership to support compliance-related decision making.

What it takes

  • Experience with SWPPP inspections, registrations, NOIs, and NOTs.
  • Proven background in developing regulatory audit processes or environmental programs.
  • Understanding of permit compliance in relation to EPC contracts.
  • Exceptional record-keeping and organizational skills.
  • Preferred certifications include CPESC or CESSWI.
