The role
The incumbent will develop and implement business entrepreneurship support activities, design and deliver entrepreneurship training, and provide coaching and mentoring to entrepreneurs in Syria.
What you'll do
- Develop and implement business entrepreneurship support activities
- Develop and update entrepreneurship training materials and curricula
- Identify, mobilize, and register eligible beneficiaries
- Conduct market assessments and business opportunity assessments
- Deliver entrepreneurship training and provide coaching and mentoring
- Establish and facilitate partnerships with relevant stakeholders
What it takes
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Project management, Finance, Entrepreneurship or a related field
- Minimum of three years of progressively responsible professional experience in business development, entrepreneurship support, feasibility studies, educational or TVET projects, business training programmes, community-based development projects, small and medium enterprise (SME) development, microfinance, or other related fields
- Experience in designing, developing, and delivering entrepreneurship and business development training programmes
- Experience in providing coaching, mentoring, and advisory services to start-ups and emerging entrepreneurs
- Good knowledge of the Syrian business environment, local labour market, entrepreneurship ecosystem, and financial service providers
- Fluency in English and Arabic, UN Level III in both languages
