The role
The Arc of Ocean County is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) with medical case management experience to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential settings.
What you'll do
- Provide direct support to individuals living in residential group homes, supervised apartments, and supported living programs
- Assist with personal care, preparing meals, medication support, transportation, household tasks, and other everyday living activities
- Encourage the development of practical skills, healthy habits, personal responsibility, and sound decision-making
- Help individuals work toward the objectives in their individualized service plans and acknowledge their achievements
- Follow established medication procedures, agency policies, and safety practices
- Collaborate with Residential Services colleagues to deliver dependable, compassionate support
What it takes
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least one year of prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
- Medical case management experience
- Valid New Jersey driver's license in good standing
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
