The role
The Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) Operations will support the Chief of Party in overall project management, with primary responsibility for project operations, finance, procurement, human resources, administration, compliance, and operational oversight of grants, subcontracts, and consultants.
What you'll do
- Support the COP in overall project management
- Lead and supervise SETU’s operations and finance functions
- Directly supervise and provide leadership to the Finance Manager and other operations staff
- Establish, maintain, and continuously strengthen project operational systems
- Oversee project financial management
- Provide operational and compliance oversight of project subcontracts
What it takes
- Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience managing operations, finance, administration, or project management for donor funded international development programs
- Demonstrated experience managing and supervising multidisciplinary operations and finance teams
- Experience establishing or strengthening project systems, internal controls, policies, procedures, and operational workflows
- Experience with budgeting, financial forecasting, expenditure monitoring, financial reporting, audit preparation, and donor compliance
- Experience overseeing competitive procurement, contracts, subcontracts, consultants, grants or other assistance mechanisms
- Experience coordinating with government agencies, private sector organizations, financial institutions, implementing partners, and international development organizations in Bangladesh
